About

I’m Nancy Roman.

I write mostly essays on notquiteold.

And fiction:  Just What I Always Wanted, Lucinda’s Solution, and Sisters, Secrets, And The Junior Prom  – all available on Amazon.

But once in a while a poetry mood happens. And so the mood happens here.

  1. I have to agree with Beauty Along the Road,
both themes can easily be intertwined, if you
ever call into my Space you will son se that
mine is exactly like that, a bit of humour here,
serious poetry there, a wicked story in another
place, pictures, graphics and photographs, a
bit of art, horror, nonsensical tongue-in-cheek
and the list goes on… I used to only write my
Gothic Horror scripts but since closing my 1st
Space here in WP I have opened another and
mixed the whole scene with a splash of this,
that and a bit of the other 😉 You are welcome
to call by but it is a Private Space so you will
need to rap on the gates and I will let you in 🙂
I will try sending you an invite, and don’t worry
my Space is friendly with lots of different peeps
calling in all of the time 🙂

  2. Nancy, though I’ve been following notquiteold for awhile, I only discovered your poetry blog today and I’m hooked! I think that says quite a lot considering the fact that I’m not usually a big fan of poetry!

    1. Thank you so much! I used to write poetry much more than prose – back in my college days. And I’ve only recently decided to return. I am discovering that I love poetry again, and I am so glad that you like it.

  3. You have good reasons to love your poetry again: it’s elegant, economical, and evocative.

notquiteold reflects your poetry, the conciseness of your writing and story telling go together. Writing both prose and poetry well is admirable.
